I feel despair sometimes and want to stay in bed. The other thing I feel is rage that a few people are destroying our world so that they can be rich. When they hint at nuclear war that rage is mixed with just not understanding how they can be so stupid and careless.
I liked the poem very much! And hope you will continue to spark out against war. I am reminded of the artists of the 1960s who helped get us out of Vietnam. 4 of my brothers and I served active duty in the US military. One was 19 in his Vietnam tour and is still disabled from it. God bless you for trying and sharing your art. Thank-you.
Such a beautiful howling, flooding, star filled poem of light and of deep grief, Diane. To turn one's screams and weariness and tears into poems not only of anguish, but also sprinkled with seeds of praise and hope helps to connect us and nourishes us all. (The sounds of the little birds and the waves lapping the shore have already entered my day). Your poems are such a precious gift and so needed in these heartbreaking times. We need these dreams and poetic visions, receptive and active, running away, hiding, running towards, all woven together. Life!
My deepest thanks!
I love your bringing in the image, too, of the awesome Milky Way that nurtures and holds us till the end of time and will never cease to guide and light our way.

Thank you for your feedback! And I will continue until this insanity ends which means, sadly, that I will have my work cut out for me!
Thanks for this beautiful and very meaningful poem. As I have time, I will read some of your other articles and poems.
