Thank you. This is a brutally real writing of the constant pain and loss in Gaza. Never having been forced to live under such horrific conditions, I can only attempt to understand, to feel what is happening. Making it personal, about friends and family, happening every day without respite defies words. All while knowing that the only way to escape the question is to be the answer. I’m so deeply sorry that this is happening, that a government that purports to represent me is funding this, and that I am powerless to stop it. My heart is with you.

Beautifully written and I’m so glad it’s not read by any of the AI voices.

It’s the kind of poem I hope is read in Schools in the future.

Many in power will try, but we must never forget this.

Thanks, James! No AI voices, I read my work myself even if very few listen!

Your poem perfectly sums up this whole nightmare. Here's hoping the ceasefire holds.

Quite touching, Diane. Unfortunately, it's true, and the extermination continues even with the so-called cease fire. I still can't believe how the world let the Palestinian Holocaust go on for so long, by the Zionist regime in Israel supported by the un-United States of Imperial Amerika and the vassal nations subservient to the U.S. doctrine for world domination. Your poetry is wonderful, though sad, but definitely true, as we have seen so much violence in the first quarter of this century, which the US is mainly responsible for. But money talks loudly, doesn't it?

The ability of the US to make money and to dominate geopolitically by way of Israel is what this shitshow is all about. I severely doubt that this ceasefire will hold, given Israel's record, but we can only hope!

Yes, we can only hope, but I'm skeptical it can, as they'll find or create an excuse to continue the extermination, as part of the Master Plan for a Greater Israel.

The previous most vocal critic of genocide is now its biggest advocate; Zionists killed tens of thousands of innocent helpless children and women.

How could they ever expect sympathy again? I am a Catholic US military veteran and not anti-Semite.

This poem screams with the pain of living through a genocide. May it reach a larger and larger circle of humans.

Thank you, Diane! I will definitely check them out. I’m heading to work now, but I’ll make it the last thing I do before I sleep so I can end the day with something beautiful.

Very moving words, Diane. I only hope this ceasefire holds, but I have my doubts. I have heard that the IOF wants to move into the West Bank and ethnically cleanse it. I don’t trust Israel and I don’t feel good at all about some of these pro-Zionists President Trump has in his administration. They are zealots like the ones in the Biden administration, different, but zealots just the same.😢☮️🇵🇸
