Thanks for this totally appropriate post, Diane, and I was thrilled to see my painting at the bottom of it. I hope Gaza is flooded with boats containing food and aid, that Israel's government falls and that all those trucks carrying food and aid can get it.

Great post, Diane. I’ve been keeping up with the Madleen aid ship and saw some footage of what the 12 activists posted just before they were boarded by the IOF scumbags and kidnapped. I’m totally disgusted with these fascist leaders we have who just stand by and do nothing. I hope soon the food, medical equipment, baby formula, etc gets into Gaza for the Palestinians. Israhell has been seen for what it is, a place with no humanity.😢🇵🇸☮️

The 12 kidnapped "antisemitic" activists from the Madleen aid ship were shown films of the terrible attack Oct 7.

What about all the terrible attacks on thousands over decades on Palestinians by Israel?

This youtube clip by Kim Iversen is a brief summary of those attacks. And commentary Re: Queen Elizabeth's finally giving up the cause of Palestinians to the Arabs. England had had enough violence by the evil forces of the Jews who wanted ALL of Palestine.

of Course NOT! Helicopters targeting Israelis being spirited away.

According to Israel, it did not happen....

only the projections of what THEY have been doing for years: rape and burning babies alive.

I knew when they started bombing Oct 7, that they did not give a fig about any hostages. there are plenty more Israeli humans...millions....what's a few hundred to them. NOTHING! just propaganda. there has never been a more lying nation than Israel...Our "great ally"....Thats another big effen lie.

Israel is our worst enemy..eating us like a cancerous worm.

Our government is controlled and scared of them. well it should be.

I wish there was a planet I could go to where there are no humans!!

Those hostages were safer in Gaza than in Israel...except for the ones shot or bombed by Israel. They were fed and respected by their guards. I wish one of them would write a book about it but they can't: Israel has probably threatened them AND their families if they tell the truth.

Judith, I completely agree with you. I feel as though my hands are tied. On that terrible day, October 7th, I sensed it could escalate out of control. A few days later, I called Congresswoman Stefanik, my representative at the time, and pleaded with the intern, my voice cracking, that this is not a partisan issue but a humanitarian one, and asked if she could help end it before it escalated.

Since then, I've called, written letters with photos of grieving parents and children, and sent emails to my representatives on a weekly basis, sometime 2-3 letters. I've written to Pope Francis, the EU, the UN, and letters to editors that were never published. I've donated what I could from my modest annuity to organizations aiding Palestinian children and others in need. I've demonstrated in the rain, which is nothing compared to the suffering of the Palestinians. I followed the flotilla's journey with Greta on board, believing that without her presence, the crew might not have survived.

That's just Palestine, where our country has its dirty hands. Haiti, Somalia, the Republic of the Congo, to name a few—the list goes on. So yes, I share your frustration.

I've seriously considered living in a remote cabin, but it's not realistic. You need people around to talk to and share experiences with. Maybe one day, before we pass away, there will be a major reset, and the world will resemble the Garden of Eden we learned about as children. By the way, I'm not religious at all.

MYGOD! You've done SO much! So far nothing that will land you in jail.....I've written representatives but feel like they don't care...about the people. Our government is our enemy.

I did buy a Palestinian scarf , put red paint on it (for blood) and hang it in my front yard. I doubt few if anyone here in Mexico "gets it".

Very rarely are all the violent acts by those jewish zionists noted. There’s an old Israeli guy who relates how his family’s living peacefully in Iraq, was forced into leaving and becoming an Israeli, by violence committed against his neighbors, in order to push up the numbers of Jews in Palestine. He’s been interviewed on YouTube several times. Lovely academic who is in the tiny minority who are not gung ho on exterminating Palestinians.

Those Jews will succeed in starving 2million in Gaza, then turn their evil gaze to the other 4million Palestinians, And, get that ancient Christian community out. America's endless support will slavishly help Israel conquer the whole middle east. Israel will bully America forever. This is what God wants for her Chosen People.

Well said. I am relieved that the IDF did not sink the vessel, although perhaps all the celebrity on board made it impossible even for Team Netanyahu. [The genocidal murderers have no such qualms about killing anonymous victims by the tens of thousands, but that's another story.]

One obscure note: if one counts the vessels (cf., the "Catalogue of Ships" in ILIAD, Book 2) the tally comes to 1,186. The "thousand ships" actually arose from Marlowe's DOCTOR FAUSTUS, and it probably represented a more poetic number. I would love to see 1,186 ships sent (with food and other supplies) to Gaza, but I'll settle for one thousand at this point!

It says something about the childish, if not simpleton mentality of the Israelis that they think it would make a difference showing their concocted propaganda videos to the group. As if those in the group are not aware that most of the atrocity claims made by Israel were debunked more thana year ago and no-one trusts anything the Israelis say, let alone any videos they claim, magically, they got from Hamas, filming its atrocities. Duh.

Or where the Israeli Apache Helicopters and Tanks are that killed many of the Israeli civilians that Israel then tried to pin on Hamas. Who, (for the most part) were trying to capture and take hostages alive. The main aim of a Hamas attack was to collect as many hostages alive as possible to use as bargaining leverage for the thousands of Palestinians kept captive in Israel.

I’m absolutely not saying that Hamas didn’t kill people, they did. I’m also absolutely not justifying it when it happened. But, fundamentally they knew that most Israeli citizens have military training and as such, they see them all as a potential threat.

We will never know how many of their own citizens Israel killed on Oct 7, but it was a significant amount (we’re talking in the hundreds).

They also cleared the evidence and vehicles that had been shot up (from the air) at the Nova music festival in exactly the same manner as they cleared the crime scene evidence after shooting the paramedics a couple of months ago. Straight in with bulldozers within hours. Impressive speed for what was a “surprise attack”.

The videos they will show to the flotilla aid workers will be the same videos that have been shown to journalists over the past 15 months. These journalists have questioned a lot of the footage claiming it was cut in such a way it implies more than it proves.

I agree with Francesca Albanese--we need to see a thousand boats with aid launched immediately and heading to Gaza all at the same time. Sheer numbers should overwhelm the "pirates." And we should see armed escorts with these boats to protect their crews and precious cargo.

It's time for the rest of the world to get off their backsides and take on and take out the evil Israeli military and its sadistic, sociopathic government. #FreePalestine

There's a People's March to Gaza on June 15 - meeting in Cairo first (unless Israel 'interferes' with that). Reportedly 10,000 people from 32 countries will go to Egypt to try and open the Rafah crossing and let the hundreds of still waiting aid trucks though. I read of this on another Substack and shame on me for not noting whose - however, I met a journalist at a rally for Palestine in Perth Western Australia last Sunday - she was going - so it exists.

We the people finally acting where our governments won’t/can’t. Again - unclear what reception/restrictions they will have in Egypt…..
