No life is more valuable or more sacred than any other. The tragic and untimely loss of one life is a loss, as John Donne so eloquently wrote in "No man is an island", a loss to us all.
A beautiful poem that expresses very well the insanity that is happening in our world, particularly in regard to "anti semitic" acts. If there were flowers piled up for every Palestinian murdered, they would run out of flowers. It is horrible what happened to those people at Bondi Beach, but it is even more horrible that the real cause of anti semitic behaviour is not attributed where that attribution belongs. Zionist Israel. So Israel goes on murdering first Palestinians, then Lebanese, then Syrians. Who will be next?
Of course, the "official" death toll in Gaza is unknown, and estimates go well into six figures. How many bodies have not yet been found in the rubble? How many died from lack of medical treatment? How many children did not or will not survive the food shortages? How many lives will be shortened by years (if not decades)?
Finally, we should not forget that the Israeli have bombed FIVE other nations: Iran, Lebanaon, Qatar, Syria, and Yemen. In addition, there have been "targeted assassinations," which have certainly taken their toll as well...
The Evil One is in Mar Lago, Florida today, giving orders to his disciple, the con artist in the White House, who has more allegiance to the people in Israel than the dumbed-down American people and his MAGA devotees.
Yes, Diane, that's right. The Bondi Beach area is home to rabid Zionist Jews who relocated from S. Africa. They refer to Jews who support the resistance as Caffers. Caffers in S. Africa are what the call the Black S. Africans which is like the N word.
This is a gift to BiBi. Now the Gov. of Austria will fall into line.
Ron Kelly, a photographer documented Israeli Jews and Beduins..this is his documentary which was rejected because it could cause antisemitism...like many facts have been suppressed.
This is an edited sampling of comments from the first 15 posted interviews here (over 45 more to come, mostly Jewish -- and mostly scholars) about Jewish identity, the Holocaust, Israel, antisemitism, Jewish "self-hatred", and Jewish morality. (All were conducted in 2010). It is, of itself, a "documentary," but there are many interviews still to be posted.
At core in all this is the mystery of what I'd (generously) call the "moral riddle" of modern Israel. And, for that matter, the paradoxes, contradictions, inconsistencies, and sometimes hypocrisies of Jewish identity.
This is new. Jews talking about Jews...to a journalist.
I came to conclusions that should should be obvious...that Jews (not all) but significantly, really do think they are superior. And, don't give a fig about how others judge them....As we can see, there is no law they have to follow. They would have Trump killed if he went off like Charlie Kirk did...I think he knows that and will obey.
Believe me:worth every minute. I'm working my way through the 40-100 minute long interviews of the interviewees..
Two who have died before octopus 7th had criticism of how the Arabs were being treated in Israel. Their reactions about the genocide would have been invaluable to those I follow: Norman Finkelstein and so on.
However, in his opinion, I think, American Jews would still be loyal to Israel because their Jewishness is a stronger part of their identity than being an American.
During WW2, some thought German Americans might side with Germany...But, there were very few that did. All my relatives were German Americans all the men served.
Leonard Dinnerstein: what a strong individual...what a Jew. The most significant opinion he went be was : His own. Three segments.
I had Jewish friends in NYC...one was Milly Glick, who has passed on. I asked her once something about the situation in Israel with the population of Arabs....I knew almost nothing. She did not respond..lips buttoned up. And, we had shared many personal things. It made an impression; I thought, it's a Jewish thing she won't share with a Goyim...Even me.
Love the poetry, but I cannot resolve Mr. Lawrence’s equation ,perhaps it`s not simple arithmetic but moral algebra, where "X" is a known quantity, but the "Why" is unknowable.
The deaths on Bondi Beach are so vivid, they seem so real, the pain is real, but those in Gaza, well, how can I grieve those we long ago left for dead? No matter the sum, "There is no pain, ... and I have become comfortably numb,"
Some might insist that all lives are equally human, yet once we divide deaths by deaths, the result is always inhumane. Whatever humanity there was, seems to have been cancelled out, or perhaps never existed?.... " I turned to look, but it was gone...and I have become comfortably numb"
In addition to Pink Floyd ringing in my head, when I read Mr. Lawrence’s post, I could hear the Sesame Street jingle in the back of mind, .. "One of these things is not like the others, One of these things just doesn't belong, Can you tell which thing is not like the others. Before the time their all gone?"
What a double standard. No one should be killed, and the killing in Palestine has never stopped.
No life is more valuable or more sacred than any other. The tragic and untimely loss of one life is a loss, as John Donne so eloquently wrote in "No man is an island", a loss to us all.
After the 2 million in Gaza are snuffed out, they will concentrate on the 4million in the West Bank.
There won't be memorials for the Palestinians. They don't have money or power. They are nothing.
Israel does NOT have a right to exist. I hope their evil deeds bring them down.
Once again, Diane, your keen perception is eloquently, trenchantly put into words.
Much appreciated!

Thanks, Susan! If flowers were laid proportionately for the Palestinian victims, Bondi Beach would be covered from end to end!

We must also add the 1,001 casualties on the West Bank (who had nothing whatsoever to do with the 7 Oct. 2023 attack), source url -- https://www.un.org/unispal/document/ohchr-press-release-17oct25/.

All facts that are conveniently overlooked!
You nailed it again, Diane!
The Evil One is in Mar Lago, Florida today, giving orders to his disciple, the con artist in the White House, who has more allegiance to the people in Israel than the dumbed-down American people and his MAGA devotees.
It's sad how little some people's deaths are mourned. And our sick society seems to be okay with it, too. :(
The latest estimate of total deaths so far in Gaza is around 680,000 according to the Lancet.
See my reply to Diana.

Thanks for the links, Judith! I will check them out.

Yes, too many have become, or always have been, comfortably numb!
Oh - they came down alright - they were brought down with heat directed energy weapons. There were NO PLANES!
It's so easy to con humanity - the sheeple are like lemmings ready to jump off a cliff.
That's where we're @ now as we go into 2026. The mass of humanity needs to wake up or DIE!
Doubt anyone died on Bondi.
It's another pay-op.
Remember the Sousse beach attack in Tunisia.
Never happened.
Look into any "mass-shooting" and u will soon discover it's 100% FAKE!
And, the World Trade Center buildings did not go down.
